A recent question posed to Digital Signage Expo’s advisory board was, “What constitutes effective content and what underlying considerations need to be addressed to achieve it?”
After reading through answers from these industry leaders, there are three major concepts that are consistent throughout.
- One, content must engage the viewer. This can only be accomplished with entertaining and educational content that is based on the audience demographic. That takes us to our second concept
- The content must be relevant to the viewer. If the consumer is at the vet’s office for Fluffy’s flea bath, then the content must relate to veterinary topics to have a major impact. But before anything can be done, there must be a deep understanding of the business and its goals.
- Our third concept is one of intended message. Most likely, the intention is to entertain, educate, and ultimately motivate the viewer to buy a product or service.
