Philip M. Cohen – President/CEO CARE Media Holdings Corp
Philip M. Cohen is the President/CEO of CARE Media Holdings and its brands PetCARE TV, Women’s HealthCARE TV and KidCARE TV digital OOH networks. Following his career as a Director of Special Markets with Twentieth Century Fox, Mr. Cohen pursued his concept of using emerging video technology to explore new business opportunities. Working with Warner Brothers, Twentieth Century Fox, Screenplay, and C3, he marketed an unrelated series of educational and entertainment programs in a number of market categories and channels. It was during this period that he developed his “Place-Based Media“, or “Captive Audience” business model; launching RockWorld TV (a college campus based network utilizing music video programming and supported by advertisers such as K-Mart, American Express, and Coppertone) and Canny Shopper (supermarket based terminal combining advertising programming and coupon dispenser with ads from over 40 grocery suppliers such as Kraft Foods and Tropicana). In 1986, Mr. Cohen moved his focus to the medical waiting room and has since been producing educational programming for veterinary and human medical professions directed to pet owners, patients and parents. Mr. Cohen sits on the Advisory Board of the Digital Signage Expo, is an interim board member of the Digital Signage Federation and is a member of the Digital Signage Association. He also shares his rants, discussions and guest interviews on content for digital signage success at his blog, cohenoncontent.com. |
